Recipe: Treber Sausage

Treber Sausage
A specialty of Lake Biel, Treber Sausage is a winter dish with intense flavors.

INGREDIENTS 

  • 1 sausage
  • 2 dl Erlach Marc
  • 1 dl Water

PREPARATION

  1. Prick the sausage with a fork.
  2. Soak the sausage in 1 dl of marc and place it in the refrigerator for 2 to 4 days. Turn the sausage every day!
  3. Bring water to a boil, then reduce the heat. Add the sausage along with the liquid. Let it simmer over low heat for 30 to 40 minutes.
  4. Slice the sausage, drizzle the slices with marc, then briefly flambé.
