In the Heart of the Wild Graitery

From Moutier, a city known for microtechnology and machine tools, the path climbs through fields to the edge of the forest. This is where the real ascent begins. The narrow trail leads through a rich forest to the famous metal ladders. Perched between the rocks, they allow you to climb the last few meters to reach the summit of Graitery. The summit is a fine example of the unique and typical folded Jura geology. After this effort, the path continues on a plateau along pastures. A stop at the Auberge du Graitery is a must, offering hearty and invigorating country dishes. The trail gradually descends through the forest to reach the entrance of the Gorges de Court, then ends by crossing the village of the same name to the train station.
