The Petit-Val is made up of forests, pastures and small valleys. Such unspoilt nature is a great inspiration.
This 19 km long walk in the Petit-Val starts in Sornetan. On the way, how wonderful it is to come across the Gorges du Pichoux where the water of the Sorne flows through the rocky walls! The itinerary goes along the Tchaïbez fish stream. On the way, we find the village of Ecorcheresses, a hamlet belonging to the commune of Souboz. This village is the highest point of the Petit-Val, which lies between the Jura mountain ranges of the Montagne de Moutier and the Moron. It is a watershed between the Birs and its tributary the Sorne. It is therefore a real pass.
