The funicular bring the visitors high above Biel.
Leaving Biel the funicular take you to the hights. Magglingen offers a splendid view from the Weissenstein to Lake Morat and the alpine range. Once you arrive at the top, you should certainly take the time to enjoy the view of Biel/Bienne and Lake Biel from the platform at the Federal Office of Sport.

- Departure: every 15 minutes.
- Tickets are available at all public ticket machines.
- Take the funicular to Magglingen for the BielTrail.
- Magglingen is departure point for beautiful walks.
- From Monday 7 April 2025 to Thursday 17 April 2025, operation of the Funi Macolin will be interrupted due to overhaul and maintenance work. This work is essential to guarantee your safety and comfort. During this period, passengers departing from Biel will be redirected via the Funi Evilard and line 79, which will run every 30 minutes between the upper stations of the Funi Evilard and the Funi Macolin. Detailed timetables will be posted at the stations and temporary stops. It will not be possible to transport bicycles on the bus during this period. Operations will resume as normal from Friday 18 April 2025.
