The abbey of Bellelay conceals many secrets that are revealed during a guided tour of the building and its surroundings.
A visit to Bellelay Abbey takes you back in time to the Prémontré monks who founded Bellelay Abbey in the 12th century. Accompanied by a guide, you will discover the architecture of the site and the origins of Tête de Moine, the famous cheese that originated in Bellelay. Located in the heart of the village of Bellelay, the baroque-style building was renovated in the late 1950s and is now a major venue for cultural and artistic events. A special highlight of the visit: you can climb to the top of one of the abbey's towers and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Petit-Val.

- Summer exhibition, from mid-June until the end of August
- For individual visits, access cards are available upon deposit of ID at the Hôtel de l'Ours and at the Maison de la Tête de Moine. These cards give access to the nave of the Abbey Church, the North Tower, the galleries and the crypt. During concerts and events, the cards do not give access to the nave.
