Our holiday home is located in the picturesque hamlet of Montmelon, not far from the Doubs river – which meanders through Switzerland before returning to France – passing through the pretty little town of St. Ursanne.
It’s an old family home whose quiet and nature we want to share with our guests:
to start off the day with a unique perspective; to experience nature as the first rays of sun hit; to lean back and let go; to plan whether to go for a walk in the Franches-Montagnes district, go cycling, bathe in the river, go fishing or simply sit by the pond in the large garden with a good book or watch the children on the swings under the cherry tree; to while away the evening with a fire on the grill...
Regardless of age, alone or in a couple, a family or a small group, everyone can find something to enjoy the here and now.
Digital detox! No television or Internet – but you can receive a signal on your mobile.
The house is surrounded by a large piece of land, a lawn, fruit trees, a biotope (fenced off to keep the children safe) …
The property is split over two floors:
on the ground floor, there is a large living area and dining room with a well-equipped kitchen (including a small utility room). The small veranda takes you through to the garden. There is also a place to sleep here with a small bed (120 x 190). On this floor, there is a small bathroom (bath/shower, toilet, wash basin, washing machine).
An interior staircase leads to the upper floor. There, you’ll find a large family bedroom measuring 50m² with two double beds (200 x 200 or rather two measuring 100 x 200, and one measuring 120 x 200). The spacious, well-lit room, can be split into in 2 sections, with an opaque curtain to create a space to play, read or to just be. In the second bedroom of 20m², there is a queen-size bed (140 x 200). On this floor, there is a second bathroom with a shower, toilet and wash basin.
