Dinosaur tracks in Moutier

Traces of dinosaurs, these gigantic reptiles that walked our land millions of years ago, can be seen in Péry as well as in the surroundings of Moutier. In Moutier, a telescope, located above the famous pavilion, allows you to admire the slab where the tracks are located in the gorges of Moutier. Moreover, during the exploitation of the Côte Picard groisière in 2017, other traces were brought to light. They date from about 152 million years ago and come from herbivorous quadrupedal dinosaurs. An educational panel has been put up near the quarry.
