The 1st of August is a bank holiday and an important event in the Swiss culture! From 18:30, the town of Murten invites you to its traditional evening dedicated to the birth of the Swiss Confederation.
Location : Säulimatte, Ryf, 3280 Murten
6.30 pm Opening of the festival by the Gässliguuger Murten association
From 8.30 pm
Musical opening by the Stadtmusik and the Drummers' Association
Welcome address by Mr. Rudolf Herren, town councillor of Murten
Festive speech by Christoph Wieland, Prefect of the Lake District
National anthem
10.15 pm Fireworks on the lake

Good to know
- Access to the Ryf is restricted to traffic from 7.30 pm to 11 pm.
- Fireworks may only be set off at the designated fireworks sites. It is strictly forbidden to set off fireworks in the old town and in the immediate vicinity of the marina and the lake shore.
