A unique tour that takes you through the places that marked the life and work of Swiss artist Albert Anker.
During an entertaining tour, you will follow an old-established local who trace Anker's former paths in "Eiss" (Ins) and point out connections to Anker's artistic work. Find out where his grandmother (Gatschet) grew up, see where the village school is located (painting "Gymnastics lesson") and understand what can be read on the small gravestones of his children Louise and Ruedeli near the church. The highlight is a visit to the Centre Albert Anker with a guided tour of Albert Anker's historic flat and his extraordinary artist's studio. Afterwards, the permanent exhibition and the temporary exhibition can be viewed individually.
