An exciting permanent exhibition in Albert Anker's former home in Ins invites you to discover the artist's life and work.

Located in Albert Anker's former home, the Albert Anker Centre's permanent exhibition highlights the life and work of the artist in his environment. The man and the artist are presented both in his native Bernese village of Ins and in the national and international context of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

On show until 29 September 2024 in the Albert Anker Centre's Art Pavilion, the temporary exhibition "Lumière du Sud" (Light of the South) presents an almost unknown facet of the famous Swiss painter's work. The watercolours influenced by Impressionism and travel sketches, produced during several study trips to southern Europe, particularly Italy, are exceptionally refined.
