The Moutier-Grandval Bible, meticulously conserved by the British Library in London, returns to the Jura. This 9th-century masterpiece will be displayed at the Musée Jurassien d’Art et d’Histoire in Delémont, from 8 March to 8 June 2025.
The exhibition will give the public a rare opportunity to admire the book, as well as other key works, including Carolingian manuscripts lent by several Swiss institutions. It will be accompanied by a publication, as well as a host of cultural and scientific events.
For comfort and conservation reasons, the manuscript can only be viewed by small groups for limited periods. The time slot booked is your viewing time for the Moutier-Grandval Bible.
Advanced booking is mandatory. Entry without a booking cannot be guaranteed. If you have any questions or problems, don't hesitate to contact us by email or telephone.
