The 7.5-kilometre “Km 0 Trail” through mostly flat and wooded terrain reveals the remnants and traces of three different frontlines – French, Swiss and German.
The “Friends of Km 0” Association
This association aims to take stock of and uncover the remnants and traces found along the first kilometres of the southern part of the western frontline that had been occupied by French, German, and Swiss soldiers during World War I.
Le Largin
Between 1914 and 1918, the entire Swiss army crosses the district of Porrentruy at one point, taking up position at the now mythical site of Le Largin. Stationed on this stretch of Swiss territory between the French and German frontlines, the troops experience the war first-hand.
