This tower stands on the highest point of the Frienisberg and offers a panoramic view over the Three Lakes Region all the way to the white giants in the Bernese Oberland.
The 45-metre-high Chutzenturm was built from 460 cubic metres of local wood. 234 steps lead up to the highest point of the observation tower, which is 859 metres above sea level. Picnic tables are available on the various platforms, inviting you to take a rest. Once at the top, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the Jura, Lake Biel, Lake Murten and Lake Neuchâtel, the Bernese giants Eiger, Mönch and Jungrau, and Mont Blanc in the far distance.
