Porrentruy Castle towers impressively above the old town.
Porrentruy Castle was the residence of the Prince-Bishops of Basel from 1524 to 1792, and its architectural history extends from medieval times to the end of the 18th century. It still remains a symbol of power today, since it accommodates the headquarters of the Court of the Republic of the Canton of Jura.
