One of the most popular cross-country ski races in French-speaking Switzerland, the Mara takes its participants on an encounter with unspoilt nature in the idyllic setting of the Nordic trails of Sainte-Croix / Les Rasses, a winter resort in northern Vaud.

Every year on the first weekend in March, the Mara attracts hundreds of famous competitors and athletes to a dream course. On the agenda of the "Swiss Loppet" and "Euroloppet" partner race, the Les Rasses Nordic marathon offers competitions over 12, 22 and 42km in free style (skating) as well as over 12, 22 and 42km in classic style, not forgetting the mini-MARA.
