Switzerland's youngest cantonal capital is rich in history

Discover a number of historic buildings such as the town hall, the church of St-Marcel and the castle, the former summer residence of the Prince-Bishop of Basel. Visit the Jura art and history museum and learn more about the region through interactive exhibitions for young and old.

Be sure to take a walk up to the Vorbourg Chapel, which overlooks the town. Perched on a promontory, this sanctuary offers superb views over the Birs Valley.

Every year, Delémont also hosts a number of events such as the Delémont’BD festival dedicated to the world of comic strips. For the more sporty, don't miss the Slow Up Jura.
